What else can
we say about Jenny McCarthy? For one, she has
a great personality. If you have ever seen MTV's
Singled Out, you will agree that her charisma,
snappy banter, and amusing facial expressions
really made the show half decent. This former
Play.boy centerfold is more than a bunny; she
has gotten the attention of many Hollywood producers,
and was inundated by proposals for game shows,
talk shows, and sitcoms.
The editors agreed to pay Jenny $20,000 to pose
as Miss October 1993. In the months following
her contract, Jenny won the Playmate of the
Year title and $100,000 in cash and prizes.
She left her hometown of Chicago in search of
stardom, and landed in Los Angeles.
Jenny McCarthy received permission to reformat
the show to the format that best suited her
talents. She became a full-fledged VJ getting
paid an impressive $500,000 for the year. Jenny
decided to leave Singled Out and focus her efforts
on creating a new MTV sketch-variety series,
The Jenny McCarthy Show. Her description of
the show was, "Kind of like Lifestyles
of the Rich and Famous on Acid." She developed
a sitcom for NBC, in which she became the assistant
of a Hollywood movie star, helping him with
his mansion.
Playboy detected this success; they now wanted
to further their relationship with McCarthy.
They offered her $500,000 for more of her nude
pictures. She declined the offer, saying it
wasn't the path she wanted to take. Playboy
settled for re-run pictures of her for upcoming
issues.
She later appeared on the movie Basketball by
the creators of the funny cartoon South Park.
She was recently featured in the sequel Scream
3, which proves that she has exceeded the advice
that her mother gave her years ago: "Be
like Vanna White."
Jenny McCarthy tells all about her new relationship
with Jim Carrey and also reveals how she lost
60 pounds of baby weight in an Access Hollywood
interview.
"I'm so brutally honest and tell people
everything about my personal life it's really
hard not to. I'm turning over a new leaf, because
I'm with someone who is very high profile ...
he is an amazing person and that's all I have
to say," McCarthy said when asked about
her relationship with Carrey, Access Hollywood
reported Wednesday.
McCarthy also shared how she lost 60 pounds
of baby weight.
"I hired a fancy trainer and tried anorexia
for 5 minutes and then ate because I was hungry.
I tried all the Hollywood secrets and nothing
was working." McCarthy said. "I had
60 pounds to lose. With the rest of the moms
trying to lose their baby fat, I became friends
with them, traded recipes and lost 3 pounds
a week and, about seven months later, I lost
all the baby fat."
