Demetria Gene
Guynes was born on the November 11, 1962, in
Roswell, New Mexico. Not only was her family
poverty stricken, but her entire family life
wasn't much to cheer about. The future soap
opera actress' childhood was a drama in itself.
By the time she was 18, Demi's family had experienced
divorce, poverty, alcoholism, and suicide. Her
father left the family before she was born and
her mother married Danny Guynes, a newspaper
ad salesman. His unstable job forced the family
to move around from time to time, and whatever
money he did make was lost to gambling.
At the peak of her career, Demi was the highest
paid actress in the world. Nowadays, we remain
fond of her because she enjoys flaunting how
fit she is and knows how to show off her assets.
Following a few seasons on the soap General
Hospital, Demi turned heads with her appearances
in St. Elmo's Fire (1985), Ghost (1990), Indecent
Proposal (1993), Disclosure (1994), Striptease
(1996), G.I. Jane (1997), and as the villain
in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003).
In a very short period, Demi Moore was transformed
from a "nobody" into a superstar.
She started out in obscure films, progressed
to blockbusters and built a huge fan base. In
the mid-'90s, she relocated to Idaho with her
kids and took a break from acting to try out
a new kind of role: soccer mom.
Still, she can be proud of her career. She paved
the way for other actresses by being the first
to demand the same salary, benefits and billing
as her male counterparts. Of course, her much
publicized relationships with Emilio Estevez,
Freddy Moore, Bruce Willis, and Ashton Kutcher
probably helped |

August 05, 2006
In Des Moines visiting family for the long weekend, Ashton Kutcher and cougar spouse Demi Moore found a way to bring a little Hollywood A-list celebrity entitlement to the American heartland. After DJ AM text-messaged that he would be spinning at local nightclub Aura, the couple showed up with Moore's daughter, Scout. They then proceeded to party until closing time, safely sequestered from any non-celebrities by the club's accommodating staff:
Moore and Kutcher split their time between an isolated VIP booth and the DJ booth [...]
[W]hen Moore visited the restroom, the bar cleared it for her. [...]
Moore was not friendly to those attempting to take pictures, telling them to get away. Some patrons taking pictures were asked to leave the bar.
As the bar was closing at 2 a.m. Kutcher tried unsuccessfully to arrange for a helicopter to take his family home. [...]
Kutcher also couldn't find a limo on short notice, so [bar manager Mike] Caudle had his security personnel drive the group the 100 miles home in his Cadillac Escalade.
Some locals were overheard grumbling about the extra-special treatment the star duo received--particularly a female bathroom occupant forcefully removed mid-pee by a pair of bouncers shouting, "Ms. Moore always insists on an end stall!" Still, most patrons admitted the Kabbalists' A-list presence added an undeniable air of glamour to their otherwise workaday, Midwestern lives. Even the security personnel forced to drive over 100 miles at 2 a.m. after a full shift at work, and who were politely ordered not to speak to their passengers or each other for the duration of the trip, were buzzing for days about the night they chauffeured " GI Jane and the Punk'd " home. |
