was E! Entertainment Television's fastest rising
star. Needless to say, Brooke has gone from
"that girl" we'd see in Bally's Total
Fitness ads to the hot host of E!'s travel show,
Wild On. Anyone who has seen the beautiful brunette
knows that she is the prime reason the show
was such a hit -- oh, forget that show, they
should launch a show called Wild On Brooke.
Brooke Burke was born on September 8th, 1971,
in Hartford, Connecticut, but raised in Tucson,
Arizona. Her exotic, original looks can be attributed
to her family's heritage, which blends her French/Irish
father with her Portuguese/Irish mother.
Brooke left her hosting duties on Rank in 2003,
but the sexy brunette is still keeping busy,
this time with acting. She made guest appearances
on shows like Monk and Less Than Perfect in
2004, and has three movies in the pipeline:
The Hazing, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
(starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller), and
Knuckle Sandwich, all set for release in 2004.
Brooke Burke also lends her voice to the "People
and Places" category of Atari's Trivial
Pursuit video game.
When not working, Brooke enjoys staying home
with her husband, plastic surgeon Garth Fisher,
and their daughters Neriah (born March 2000)
and Sierra Sky (born April 2002). While at her
Los Angeles home, the jet setter stays fit by
practicing yoga, kickboxing and pilates, scuba
diving, taking long walks, and relaxes by cooking
and reading.
Dancing With the Stars' Kelly Monaco and former
Burger King queen Brooke Burke are bringing
Gillette's NoScruf campaign (previously) to
New York's Herald Square today around noon with
a rally to carry the movement's message: we
aren't going to shave until you do. Boston's
Digitas created the faux, Geocities looking
site to launch the cause that encourages men
to shave - with Gillette razors, of course -
by threatening men with women who don't shave.
At the event, there will, apparently, be an
army of unshaven women freaking out the men
of New York. It's the double standard kind of
thing. Public relations firm Porter Novelli
organized the event..
